Sometimes the wound heals up and there’s no sign that it ever happened. But there are certain wounds that are so severe a cut so deep they heal up the pain goes away, but they leave a scar scars from falling off a bike as a child scars from the surgery to remove the illness Scars From the accident there are physical scars scars that we can see but there are also invisible scars scars that come from

Her wounds scarred by the divorce scarred by what somebody said scarred by mistakes that we made so often we try to hide our scars. We don’t see anything positive about it reminds us of the hurt the sickness of betrayal. We wish they’d go away but we need to see our scars in a new life. God did not allow that scar to discourage you he allowed it to remind you of what he brought you through. When you see the scar don’t think of the pain think of the grace of God the scar means the wound is healed the scar means the pain is over and you’re moving forward the scar means what kept you awake at night is now behind you don’t get bitter and live in regrets. That scar is a reminder of how faithful God has been without his Mercy that mistake could have stopped your purpose.

They were giving each other the silent treatment the next morning the man had to get up early and catch a plane. He needed his wife to wake him up not wanting to break the silence. He left a note on her side of the bed that said, please wake me up at 5 a.m. He got up the next morning at eight o’clock missed his flight. He was so upset. He went in to find out why she didn’t wake him up. There was a note on his side of the bed. It said wake up is 5

I want to talk to you today about the promise is coming. We all have things with believe in for dreams. God put in our heart problems to turn around but when it’s been so long, we made mistakes people have come against us all the circumstances say if it was going to happen. It would have happened by now. It’s easy to get discouraged and accept that it’s never going to work out. But what God promised you doesn’t have an expiration date just because you’ve given up on it doesn’t mean that God has given up you may have done things. That should keep your dream from coming to pass you got off course, you don’t deserve it. But God is so merciful. He’s already taken your mistakes into account. You may have delayed it from happening, but you haven’t denied it from happening. The promise is still coming God is saying

Despite your mistakes despite the failures despite the delays. I’m still going to bless you. I’m still going to heal you I’m still going to bring that dream to pass but too often we disqualify ourselves. We think it would have happened if I’d have made better choices if I’d finish school. I’ve not got involved with the wrong crowd but not wasted those years compromising then God would bless me. Then he would open up new doors. That would be true. If God was like us if he judged US based on our performance and gave us what we deserve but God is not like people he is full of Mercy. He doesn’t hold our mistakes against us. He doesn’t cancel our destiny because we got off course God already knew every Wrong Turn we would take every mistake. We would make every failure every weakness.

She was driving down the freeway when she was pulled over by a female police officer who also happened to be blond. The officer asked to see your driver’s license the lady dug and dug in her purse getting more and more agitated couldn’t find him finally asked the officer what it looked like the officer said it’s a little square that has your picture on it. The lady pulled out a mirror and saw herself and said o handed it to the officer the officer looked at the mirror and saw herself handed it.

I said okay. You can go I didn’t realize you were a police officer.

We all go through unfair situations. We were overlooked for a promotion came down with an illness or somebody walked out of a relationship. It’s easy to get discouraged and think that’s just life a bad break. Nothing I can do about it. You may not be able to but God can he’s a God of Justice. He has seen everything you’ve been through every person that did you wrong every lonely night every tear. He said in Hebrews, I will repay the exact

Shh node you it may not have been fair. But don’t worry payback is coming. God is going to make up for the wrongs that were done to you. Those people that put you at a disadvantage don’t live bitter thinking you have to get even it’s not your battle. The battle is the Lord’s he knows what you’re owed. He’s keeping the records. You’ll not only take care of the opposition. He’ll make it up to you. You may have been raised in an unhealthy environment. Nobody was there to make you feel encouraged loved and valuable. It seems like that set you back but people don’t determine your destiny what you didn’t get who wasn’t there for you is not going to keep you from your purpose. God sees how you were treated and he’s saying payback is coming. He’s going to show you favor because of what happened the enemy minute to stop you God’s going to use it to increase you he’s going to open new doors.

He instructed them to start writing down everything. They had been forgetting the next night. They were watching television. The wife said I sure would like a bowl of ice cream husband said, I’ll go get it for you. She said honey, you know what the doctor said you better write it down. He said I’m just going into the kitchen not gonna forget came back a few minutes later handed her a plate of bacon and eggs. She shook her head and said I should have known it you forgot my toast.

I’ve only confess my mind is alert. My heart is receptive. I will never be the same in Jesus name. God bless you. I want to talk to you today about fever connections when I was a teenager. I was pulled over by a police officer for driving too fast. When he saw the name on my license. He asked if I was related to the pastor that he watched on television each week. I told him that was my father he gave me my license back told me to slow down and said I could go.

I received fever because of who I was connected to wasn’t anything. I did I just happen to be the son of a man that was favored because I was in relationship with him. His favor spilled over onto me the scripture says Noah found favor with the Lord. When a great flood covered the Earth Noah’s family were the only ones saved that never says his sons had favored or his daughters had favored but because they were connected to Noah their lives were spared. The principle is when you’re connected to people that are favored people that are further along people that are more successful that favor is going to flow down to you you’ll see increased promotion because of that Association, there should be people you’re in relationship with that inspire you that challenge you that make you strive to do better.

He heard a voice saying Jesus is watching you he froze in his tracks shined his flashlight and saw a parrot over in the corner. He said did you say that to me? The parents said? Yes, I’m just trying to warn you. He said warn me. What are you talking about? Who are you? He said, my name is Moses. The burglar laughs had one kind of crazy. People would name a parrot Moses. He said the same kind of people.

That would name a 150 pound Rottweiler. Jesus. Say it like you mean it this is my Bible. I am what it says. I am I have what it says. I have I can do what it says I can do today. I will be taught the word of God. I boldly confess. My mind is alert. My heart is receptive. I will never be the same in Jesus name. God bless you. I want to talk to you today about being vulnerable. It’s easy to go through life trying to impress people show them that were strong that we have it all together and it’s good to carry ourselves with confidence. But sometimes we have a need to keep up our image so much that instead of being real we put on a mask and start pretending we can’t let people see we have weaknesses. We struggle in these areas with people of Faith. We’re supposed to have all the answers.

But the scripture says God’s power shows up greatest in her weaknesses. If we go around pretending acting like we don’t have any weaknesses. Then God’s power is not going to show up. God won’t bless who you pretend to be. He looks beyond the mask Beyond The Superficial when you’re big enough to admit God, I don’t have it all together. I’m struggling in these areas. I need your help being vulnerable is not a weakness. It’s a strength. But when we pretend try to impress people live far image that puts pressure on us, we have to perform and make sure they think I’m good. I’m strong. I’m talented take off the mask. You can be real. Well Joel what if they think less of me? What they think of you? Does it really matter. They don’t control your destiny if your friends judge you for being real. They’re not true.

But only three parachutes first passenger said I’m a leading heart surgeon. My patients need me took the first parachute and jumped second passenger said, I’m a rocket scientist one of the smartest men alive. My country needs me took the second parachute and jumped the third passenger Pope John Paul said to the fourth passenger a ten-year-old boy scout son. I’m old and frail. I don’t have much time left. You can have the last parachute the Boy Scouts.

He knows everything that’s going to happen. The scripture says God works all things according to his will it’s not according to who likes you according to what family you come from According to even how many mistakes you’ve made. It’s according to his will he is working behind the scenes not only directing your steps, but he’s directing the steps of the people you need. He’s not just in control of you. He’s in control of your circumstances. Nothing randomly happens. You’re not at the mercy of bad breaks. You don’t have to get upset because the door closed give up on a dream because you went to a loss God knew about it. He wouldn’t have allowed it. If it wasn’t on your blueprint. We may not like it. We don’t understand it. But God knows what he’s doing. It’s not keeping you from your purpose its leading you to your purpose.

Everything was going great until a bolt of lightning hit the sanctuary When the Smoke cleared Satan himself was standing behind the podium people panicked and took off running everyone. That is except one lady. She sat on the front row as calmly as can be Satan was appalled. He said lady. Do you know who I am? She said I sure do. He said aren’t you afraid of me? She said not in the least bit. He said why not she said, why should I be I’ve been married to you.

We all face challenges that look permanent. Like they’ll never turn around dreams and goals that seem like they’re a long way off. It’s easy to get discouraged and accept that it’s never going to work out. But what you can’t see is God is working behind the scenes what he promised you he still has every intention of bringing it to pass all the circumstances may say it’s going to take years to get out of debt years.

Meet the right person but God is going to surprise you. It’s going to happen sooner than it looks there wasn’t any sign of it. You weren’t expecting it out of nowhere your health improves your business takes off you break the addiction don’t believe the lies that is permanent. You may not see anything changing yet. Stay in faith. You are closer than you think second Kings chapter 4, there was a wealthy lady that lived in the town of shuna when the Prophet Elijah came through she would invite him to come to dinner with her and her husband. She could since there was something special about Elijah. She told her husband. He’s a man of God and we need to take care of him. She had them build a room on top of her house a guest Suite so Elijah could stay there when he was in town. She could have just kept inviting him to dinner. That would have been nice. She could have rented him a room.

And if you have a disagreement, she’ll be the first to admit. She was wrong. Adam said wow God what will a woman like this cost? God said an arm and a leg Adam said what can I get for a rib? And the rest is history?

I want to talk to you today about sleep on it’s easy to live frustrated because somebody’s not doing what we want or discouraged because of a disappointment upset because a dream hasn’t come to pass but I’ve learned God doesn’t remove every frustration. He doesn’t change every person. We don’t like take away everything that’s bothering us. The scripture says be still and know that he is God this implies if we’re not still if we’re upset worried frustrated, we’re not going to know that he is God most of the times I’m frustrated. I’m trying to change things that only God can change. I’m trying to be God and fix things that I can’t control. You can’t make people do what’s right. You can’t make yourself do well if you’re trying to control everything you’re going to be frustrated.

The wife said I remember when you used to always hold my hand her husband reached over and took her hand. She said I’ll remember you always used to kiss me on the cheek. He leaned over and kissed her on the cheek. She said I even remember when you used to nibble on my ear. He got up and started walking away. She said what’s wrong? Where are you going he turned around and said to get my teeth.

You will recover from an illness when the expert said you wouldn’t you will accomplish dreams that looked impossible. It wasn’t just your talent your skill determination. There is a force behind you fighting your battles opening doors. You couldn’t open bringing the right people. Those weren’t just good.

I like to start with something funny and I heard about this reporter. He was visiting churches Across the Nation while in the Northeast. He saw this gold phone on the wall with a sign that said cause $10,000 per minute. He asked the pastor what it meant. The pastor explained that that was a direct line to Heaven. If you are willing to pay the price you could talk directly to God he continued visiting different churches. So the same gold phone the same sign when he finally made it to Texas. He saw the phone, but the sign said calls 25 cents per minute.

In Texas. The pastor why it was so much cheaper. The Pastor said you’re in Texas now. It’s a local call.

She’d gone to many doctors spent all of her money tried everything she could to get well, but nothing helped she continue to go downhill one day. There was all this commotion in her town. She found out that Jesus was passing through she had heard the stories of how he had healed a crippled man how it opened blind eyes how you cured someone with Leprosy and something came alive on the inside. She thought he did it for others.
